Abstract
The theory of exercise physiology serves the practical application of sports training, offering a physiological foundation for freestyle swimming instruction in areas such as movement, breathing, and circulation. It highlights the significant role of core strength in the teaching of freestyle swimming. The theory of exercise physiology not only aids students in deeply experiencing and understanding freestyle swimming techniques but also helps to prevent sports injuries and maintain the effectiveness and safety of exercise, thereby achieving the goals of physical fitness, self-confidence enhancement, and improvement in sports proficiency and performance.
